Oh, Just Because…
February 6, 2013
Her name is Sneezy. She allows a Penn State freshman named Mary Krupa to make headgear for her.
Here she is in her propeller beanie.
She has her own Facebook page, and people write articles about her:
More about Sneezy, including a video.
Also, thank goodness it’s February. That’s all I’ve got to say (for the moment).

That’s not right.

If loving a squirrel in a beanie is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

I love your response, Andrea! Classic. It is going in my great lines by real people journal right now.

I guess as long as she’s well-treated…
But, still….

No worries. She’s not a captive squirrel. She lives outside. She is just very friendly and she looks good in hats.

I love it!! How great that they have this bond!

I know. Makes me want a squirrel friend of my own.

Squirrels are very independent little critters and decide for themselves who and what they will find pleasant. If one graces you with friendship, why turn it down? One of life’s little pleasures……

I agree. Sneezy has chosen this young woman. They’re pals.

A friend of mine has trained a wild squirrel to run up her leg to get nuts. (Needless to say, jeans are required for this maneuver.) LOVE the propeller hat, that is too hilarious.

Yes, the toenails on those creatures have to be really sharp to make their favorite game, Drive-Dog-Insane-While-Grasping-Tree-Trunk-And-Hanging-Upside-Down-And-Right-Side-Up-And-Everywhichway, work as well as it does.

I wonder how they know for sure it’s a girl…and I wonder if Sneezy would like to come over for a play date with the squirrels in my yard and help them get their FB pages set up…they are having a little trouble with the privacy settings…

You’re most welcome, Denise. The Internet just never stops giving.
